Situated just to the west of Fort Mountain, Chatsworth was originally founded as a train depot. Owing largely to the influx of industry in the region, the population and quality of life in Chatsworth has dramatically increased in the last 30 years.  The county seat of Murray County, Chatsworth has beautiful views of mountains in nearly every direction.
